PENALARAN DEDUKTIF


   Bahasan pertama kita adalah penalaran deduktif yang kadang disebut logika deduktif, penalaran ini membangun atau mengevaluasi argumen secara deduktif. Dimana, argumen ini dinyatakan deduktif jika kebenaran dari kesimpulan ditarik atau merupakan konsekuensi logis dari premis-premisnya. Argumen deduktif dinyatakan valid atau tidak valid, bukan benar atau salah. Sebuah argumen deduktif dinyatakan valid jika dan hanya jika kesimpulannya merupakan konsekuensi logis dari premis-premisnya.


Penalaran deduktif adalah suatu penalaran yang berpangkal pada suatu peristiwa umum, yang kebenarannya telah diketahui atau diyakini, dan berakhir pada suatu kesimpulan atau pengetahuan baru yang bersifat lebih khusus.
Deduksi ialah proses pemikiran yang berpijak pada pengetahuan yang lebih umum untuk menyimpulkan pengetahuan yang lebih khusus.
Bentuk standar dari penalaran deduktif adalah silogisme, yaitu proses penalaran di mana dari dua proposisi (sebagai premis) ditarik suatu proposisi baru (berupa konklusi)
Hukum-hukum Silogisme
Prinsip-prinsip Silogisme kategoris mengenai term:
1. Jumlah term tidak boleh kurang atau lebih dari tiga
2. Term menengah tidak boleh terdapat dalam kesimpulan
3. Term subyek dan term predikat dalam kesimpulan tidak boleh lebih luas daripada dalam premis.
4. Luas term menengah sekurang-kurangnya satu kali universal.



Corak berpikir deduktif: silogisme kategorial, silogisme hipotetis, silogisme alternative atau entimen.Dalam penalaran deduktif terdapat premis. Yaitu proposisi tempat menarik kesimpulan
Penarikan kesimpulan secara deduktif dapat dilakukan secara langsung dan tidak langsung.
Penarikan secara langsung ditarik dari satu premis. Penarikan tidak langsung ditarik dari dua premis.
Premis pertama adalah premis yang bersifat umum sedangkan premis kedua adalah yang bersifat khusus.
Contoh :
•Semua manusia pasti mati (premis mayor)
• Albert adalah manusia (premis minor)
• Albert pasti mati (kesimpulan)
Jenis penalaran deduktif yang menarik kesimpulan secara tidak langsung yaitu::
1. Silogisme Kategorial = Silogisme yang terjadi dari tiga proposisi.
2. Silogisme Hipotesis = Silogisme yang terdiri atas premis mayor yang berproposisi konditional hipotesis.
3. Silogisme Akternatif = Silogisme yang terdiri atas premis mayor berupa proposisi alternatif.
4. Entimen. = Silogisme ini jarang ditemukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, baik dalam tulisan maupun lisan. Yang dikemukakan hanya premis minor dan simpulan.

Contoh argumen deduktif:

Premis 1 : Setiap mamalia punya sebuah jantung
Premis 2 : Semua kuda adalah mamalia
Konklusi : Setiap kuda punya sebuah jantung.

Untuk memudahkan anda mengidentifikasi maupun mengenali perbedaan antara penalaran induktif maupun deduktif, anda dapat lihat dibawah ini :

Penalaran Deduktif
- Jika semua premis benar maka kesimpulan pasti benar
- Semua informasi atau fakta pada kesimpulan sudah ada, sekurangnya secara implisit, dalam premis.

Penalaran Induktif
- Jika premis benar, kesimpulan mungkin benar, tapi tak pasti benar.
- Kesimpulan memuat informasi yang tak ada, bahkan secara implisit, dalam premis.
